Ad astra per alia porci--
Latin for "To the stars on the wings of a pig." This is the motto on John Steinbeck's personal stamp, and is usually accompanied by his Pigasus.
The backstory is what makes this interesting: It was one of John Steinbeck's favorite sayings. A professor told him that he would be an author when pigs flew. Every book Steinbeck wrote is printed with this insignia.
I hope that teacher ate his hat.
